Superman and Wonderwoman Felt Mask Templates

About 2 weeks ago I received an email from a woman wanting to purchase some super hero masks.

Along with some of the masks I have previously shared here on the blog, she had wanted to see if I was able to make some Wonder Woman and Superman masks as well.
It was something I knew I could tackle, so I got to work.

I was super excited with my design and idea, and then I went online and saw a lot of different variations, with quite a few similar to mine, and realized my design wasn't really unique.

Oh well :-/ I was proud of it.

You can't really change up super hero images too much!

So along with the other templates and designs, here are mine :)

To start out, you will need to print out the FREE templates for these masks.

Free template for Spiderman mask

As promised I am back with my Spiderman mask and template!
(If you recall from my previous post I had someone contact me and order some super hero masks.
In addition to ones already shown here on the blog she wanted Wolverine and Spiderman masks as well, so I decided to make my own templates and share them with you!)

Start out by cutting out two pieces of felt from the template.

Wolverine felt mask with FREE template

Last week I mentioned I was filling an order for some Avengers masks.

I was also asked to make some Wolverine and Spiderman masks.
I've seen a few different templates, but I decided to come up with my own version, and this is what I came up with.
(I will post the Spiderman mask and template soon).

(I ended up running out of the thinner elastic I used in the previous masks, and had to use a thicker one, pictured above, but I feel like the thinner elastic works better with the super hero masks).

My son had A LOT of opinions on this mask, he sure knows his superheroes :)

This mask can be made by sewing it, or you can do a no-sew version using a hot glue gun.

Ok, here is my second post from my son's Avengers birthday party.  See my previous post on how to make your own Captain America shield pinata if you missed that one, 'cause it's freaking awesome!

I saw these on Pinterest like a month ago and pinned them immediately.  I had this genius idea, instead of doing little goody bags for the kids, (because my son really never plays with the little toys he gets in there, and they would get enough candy and treats from the pinata), so I would make a mask for each of them.  This way they could also run around with the masks at the party and be little super heroes!

I started these a couple of weeks in advance, mostly so I could just work on them at night while my son was sleeping, and also because I didn't know how long it would take to make all 18 of them! 

Supplies you'll need
sheets of felt in the colors you will need Iron Man (red and yellow), Captain America (blue and white), Hulk (green and black), and Thor (a creamish, skin color, and grey).  (They were 29 cents per sheet at Michael;s, I've heard since you can get them at Wal-mart for 23 cents, saving you money folks!)
scissors
white stretchy elastic

*Update, I did have someone email me, she said she didn't have a sewing machine, and was wondering if these could be made with a hot glue gun instead.

I whipped up a mask using ONLY a hot glue gun, and it does work just as well! 

I got 4 sheets of each color to use as the base of the mask, then 1 sheet for the colors which are the details on the masks.

For the base of the mask (the main color), use 2 sheets on top of each other, pin the mask and cut out the shape.
