Today I have a review for you, and my littlest guy gets to make his big blog debut :)
We welcomed him into the world just under 2 weeks ago, so it was about time for him to get to work ;)
This is the Swaddle Sure swaddling pouch from halosleep.com
I actually received this a few weeks before my little guy was born and I couldn't wait to try it out!
I've always liked the idea of swaddling because I feel like it helps keep baby snug and cozy, like when they were still in the womb...also, it's nice to keep their little hands in so they can't scratch themselves on the face...
If I recall correctly, there wasn't really anything like this when I had my other two children, we just used receiving blankets to swaddle them, but they always seemed to get an arm out or wiggle the whole thing loose.
This swaddling pouch is designed to keep that from happening, and that's why I was so excited to try it!

So let's take a look at all of the info, and how to work this thing!
This particular swaddling pouch is a Newborn size for babies ranging from 6-12 lbs and 19-23" long.
(They also have a Small size for babies ranging from 13-16 lbs and 22-24" long). On the back of the packaging it shows step-by-step pictures of how to use the Swaddle Sure for your baby.
It seemed pretty straight forward so we decided to give it a try.
This is the swaddling pouch opened up.
First off, I love how lightweight and breathable the fabric is.
I like that my little guy can be wrapped up all snug and I know he won't get too hot and sweaty in there. During these Springtime nights that are still a little cooler I like to place a blanket over top of the swaddle just to ensure that he is warm and snuggly.
To put your baby in the Swaddle Sure you start by pulling one side over across their body, which is a lot easier to do when you aren't trying to take pictures at the same time ;)
then pull over the other side. There is a type of velcro that holds the side in place.
Then you pull over the two straps and secure them. The straps have the same a type of velcro.
Lastly, you will pull up the bottom part to cover the feet. Again, this part is secured by the same type of velcro as the straps.
And they're in!
Like a little burrito :)
There won't be any wiggling out of that!
I love that the bottom part closes up after the arms, giving you the ability to change a diaper if you need to while still having their arms tucked in.
You can find this SwaddleSure swaddling pouch, and many other HALO baby products, at most retail stores (Target, Babies R Us, etc) or on their website http://www.halosleep.com/swaddlesure-adjustable-swaddling-pouch/
or on Amazon
and make sure to follow the HALO company on their social media outlets as well
I need one of these! I love using some other swaddle bag type things I had leftover from my first daughter, but our 2 month old girl is already starting to turn into Houdini and getting arms out. :/ Those straps would come in handy! She sleeps so much better when she's wrapped up. :)
ReplyDeleteHa ha it's amazing what they can wiggle out of! Yes, the straps and the bottom part being separate are two very helpful features!
