Kitchen Counter Declutter

For the longest time I have been trying to come up with a better solution for storing our fresh produce.
Some fruits and veggies go in our fridge, but for the rest they've always just been put in a kind of pile on our counter.
A few people suggested a fruit bowl or a fruit stand, but I still didn't like the idea of it on the counter. I wanted to free up as much counter space as possible so I turned to the internet and started searching for ideas.
I had seen a couple of hanging baskets but it wasn't quite what I wanted, until I found this shelving kit for only $27 on Amazon!
(I’ve linked this shelving kit and all of my recommended household finds HERE)
I have a pretty small pantry door, only 18" across, so this 12" wide set was perfect!
It was on back order for a week, but it finally arrived yesterday and I put it up right away.
The instructions were extremely easy to follow and only required a few steps.
I attached the top hooks to the metal extenders and placed it over the door.
I added one basket to make sure the distance between the metal bars was correct.
I have a hollow pantry door, and the screws the set came with were way too long (they would have gone right through the other side of the door), but luckily I had some screws on hand that worked perfectly.
It took me maybe 20 minutes or less to get the whole thing up.
I immediately moved the produce from the counter to the baskets and even had enough room left to add random things like popcorn packs, snack bags, etc.
This was my counter before...
And the after...
This open space now helps my kitchen feel so much brighter and clean!
